Defending Kids in Emergencies

In addition to giving answers to kid's most basic needs during urgent situations, Preserve the Kids sees that all youngsters are particularly insecure to a range of risks like separating from family, employment into military, sexual exploitation and gender-based assault, physical harm, and psychosocial problems. From the very start, we promote kid security in urgent situations and engage with close relatives, areas, contributors and government authorities to ensure that the most insecure children do not get neglected in the disorder. Last year, Preserve the Kids reinforced 75,998 children suffering from issue and mishaps worldwide.

What We Do: Reunify Family members

A key priority for Preserve the Kids during a critical is to reunify divided kids their close relatives in the quickest time possible. After the earth quake in Haiti, we worked with the government and other international organizations to help register unaccompanied and divided children and reunify them with their close relatives. What We Do: Create Child Helpful Spaces

Child Helpful Areas (CFS) are one of Preserve the Children's most well-known actions to protect children during the first phase of a critical or in areas of long-term crisis. These CFS can be constructed in any available space, such as under trees and shrubs, in a covering, in a courtyard. With assistance from close relatives and group associates who offer to lead the actions, children have the opportunity to play, perform, and interact socially with their colleagues — and to restore a sense of normalcy in hardships. CFSs also help keep children safe during the day, and that allows parents to focus on finding assistance and solutions in the immediate consequences of a critical and progressively restore their lives.
